I am the wife of the most wonderful husband in the world and the mother of two terrific boys. My oldest son is a freshman in college and my youngest son is 7 years old. We are a Christian homeschooling family who loves spending time with each other. We have just recently returned to the homeschooling lifestyle after 6 years of private/public education for our oldest son and 4 years of public school for our youngest.
Our youngest son has cerebral palsy and we felt that he needed to be in public education so he would learn independence. After spending an entire day with him at school and seeing how different he acted while he was there I knew that public school was not what he needed. So, although I just completed my bachelor’s degree in Education and was actively looking for a job I decided that my child’s needs were greater than our financial needs. We have once again taken a huge leap of faith and plunged into homeschooling. We are excited to see what God has in store for our family.
My blog tends to be a mishmash of entries relating to life in general, my experiences as a parent of a special needs child, homeschool topics, and sometimes some crafty projects. I would love to have you join my blog and follow along with us as we live our sweet life. Be sure to leave me a comment so that I can give you a proper southern welcome.
